Val d'Isere can be divided into three main areas; Solaise has good slopes for both beginners and intermediate skiers. Bellevarde boasts some steep and exciting slopes on its East side. The South/South West side tends to be gentler but steep. The West/North West slopes have fantastic views of the Grande Motte, Grand Casee and Mont Blanc, the slopes are gentle and lead down to La Daille. The Fornet/Iseran/Pisailles area offers some fantastic views of the Haute Maurienne area and some good slopes for beginners and intermediates.
