The pedestrian centre has handy access to some good bars and restaurants, and you can ride over to Zermatt across the Swiss border which is linked by lift and piste.

The area has Italy's highest pistes and some of its longest. While there is little to entertain an expert here, nearly all the runs are accessible to average intermediates. It also presents a realistic opportunity of tackling some of the Matterhorn’s (the mountain) slopes.

The reputation of the Matterhorn attracts numerous visitors each year, with many choosing to ski or snowboard and others deciding to trek along its many routes.
