Snowboarding and Skiing in Champéry, Switzerland

Drive time : 79 miles or 1hr 34mins drive time from Geneva

Skiing breaks in Champéry are often confused with skiing breaks in Chambery but visitors to this idyllic pocket of Switzerland will be just as impressed with what’s on offer.

Champéry is an undiscovered gem with beautiful Swiss 'chocolate box' scenery. The resort is full of charm and the people are very friendly and welcoming.

Yet visitors are really after the skiing and snowboarding, something they will find in abundance on a ski break in Champéry. Much of this is courtesy of the easy access to the Portes de Soleil, which corrals some of the best ski resorts in the area. Plus, it only takes 1 hour and 34 minutes to reach the resort from Geneva Airport.

Fantastic Snow Coverage and Slopes for Skiing and Snowboarding

Piste MapThe good access to the Portes de Soleil circuit, which is the largest international connection ski area in the world, meaning other major ski resorts like Abondance, Avoriaz, Châtel, La Chapelle d'Abondance, Les Gets, Montriond, Morzine and Saint Jean d'Aulps are available on a skiing break.

One of the thrills of a skiing break in Champéry is the chance to ski across an international border. The opportunity to ski through different resorts is too good to miss for some but don’t worry about getting lost as everything is well signposted.

However, it isn’t all about the Portes du Soleil because Champéry also boasts a fantastic snow park, which has an amazing selection of kick ass kickers. The slopes are good for intermediates and beginners, and with skiing above 2000 meters you can expect good snow coverage.
